There were no clever hidden passages, no guard he could bribe, manipulate or desperate enough - seduce - to get out. Opening the door seemed to be the stupidly obvious option, until one sees the thousands of eyes in the sea of violet darkness.

The Magistrate had quickly slammed the door on that. He'll have to wait, and see - least the accomedations was not barbaric, but it was still prison.

He stiffens - springing off the bed when one of those damn gaps appear. "What now?"

The gap opens and from it, a dark cloak was thrown out with a certain viscount inside it. She landed flat on her face and each second afterward was used to come to grips with the indignity. She sits up and looks back at the now closing gap.

"Only fools give second chances and I'd be a bigger imbecile than you if I let you live a second longer! Once I figure out what you did, I'll..."

She clenches her fists. How long would it be till then? Till it's too late, more than likely.

He watches her come to grip slowly with a mix of vague amusement and more disbelief, his hand sliding down his face, especially once she starts yelling at the gap.

"So Yakumo has managed to ambush you as well." Eleuseus started.

"Eleuseus!"

She was surprised to see the man still there. Alive. So it wasn't Yukari's intention to kill them, was it...

"I see you're still alive. ... You're made of tougher stuff than I thought."

He nods in confirmation, putting on a brief grin. "One would have to be strong to be a Magistrate of Rome, I'm fine." Shaken up naturally, and angry - that part did not need to be said. Eleuseus' expression darken.

"The harami claimed she would let us go once "Nero grows up", but I do not trust her intentions."

"She's a sly one. ... I regret not keeping a closer eye on her. She's quiet, you know. Compared to the other Senators." It did indeed come as a surprise. She picks herself up and stands up. Lying on the ground like that is unsightly.

"She had that uncanny ability to do so." The half-elf admitted with annoyance as he pace the room. "Perhaps you have a better idea of where and exactly how she is keeping us." Eleuseus started - time to plot escape, find all venues when possible.

Medea looked around the cell and then behind her at the locked door and gap. She bit the side of her index finger as she brought it closer to her lips. Nothing came to mind. Her silence ought to have answered the Magistrate's question.

He sigh. Figures since she ended up here that it's likely even her magic cannot let them out. "I suggest that you shouldn't open the door - the view isn't pleasant."

"I'm already assuming that if I look behind that door, I'll have countless eyes staring back at me. ... Honestly." She frowns and sits on the ground. That fight took a lot out of her despite how quickly it ended. She was fighting with all she had at the time.

"Her specialty is manipulating space and creating distortions. It's how simply she does it that worries me. For all I know, she could be a live demon."
