The Courts of Hell
Who: Shiki Eiki Yamaxanadu and Delacroix
What: Eiki passes judgment on the sinner.
Where: Higan, the afterlife.
Warnings: Intimidation?
It did not take long for Delacroix's trial to start, Eiki was in today and ready to get down to business quickly, though the list of sins this one had might make for a longer trial than usual.
The court room was vast and the judges throne was quite high, it was designed with the particular purpose of being as intimidating as possible. The entire room was really, intimidating and showing just how small and insignificant the soul on trial really was. Eiki herself presented a rather imposing figure so high up, her crown placed upon her head, her Rod of Remorse helled before her as if just waiting to strike. Her blue eyes were bright and piercing and though her expression was not cruel, there was a coldness to it. This was how she held herself for trials, her professional demeanor when being completely neutral.
"Step forth Pope Alphonse Delacroix, face your trial and coming judgment," her voice was heavy and spoken with authority. "I am almost surprised to see you today, considering the things you have had in your possession. However in the end all come here eventually. Tell me, how do you think you will be judged today? Do you think your life was worth anything?" There was a playfulness to her tone with the questions, she liked to make people think about what they had done long and hard before passing her judgments, and then after passing she would make them think more on exactly why they ended up that way.

"But do you truly have no repentance? For all of your sins?"

"Then I shall read you your sins and begin your punishments. After each sin has been accounted for your placement will be set," she was back to business and rose from her throne. She came down to the floor and stood before Delacroix, the scroll in one hand and her Rod in the other.
"Kneel."

With each sin she read she struck down on Delacroix's head, there was no grouping, it was completely and totally itemized for each transgression. Considering his life, and how many people had been harmed by his actions it lasted a long time. How long? It was hard to say, time was not so easy to tell in the world of the dead. However regardless of how long or short it would have felt like a lifetime.
Once Eiki read the final sin she stepped back and looked down.
"Do you still hold true to your convictions?" Would his answer change his fate? Slightly, but not enough to make much of a difference.

"It means enough. Also it would do you well to show some respect, I am not a witch, I am your judge. However since you clearly lack any sort of manners and there is little if any redeemable parts to you, I hereby sentence you to the deepest reaches of Hell. You will stay there tortured and suffering until the day you repent comes," it was hardly a moment after she spoke did others come to take Delacroix away. "Try and do better if you ever get a second chance at life."
She was tired, and the souls that had hardly any hope of improving always put her in a melancholy mood. Why were people so prone to the darkness in their hearts?
