The Black Legion leans into the sorcerous assault, like warriors against a strong wind, and a huge, light-distorting Kine shield is thrown up, defending them against the worst of the scourging holy magics. It would seem the Legion has their own sorcerers, and quite strong ones as well. They lumber forward, flanked by strange serpent-helmed guards.
