On the night of the full moon...

Who: Taryn Shadow-Walker and Arthur Pendragon
What: "Border Dispute"
When: 6/5
Where: Northernmost border of Lerrian and Cerirwen
Warnings: none

Taryn waited at the border and leaned against the boulder that just happened to be resting on the border between Britain and the land of Luna's Call. It was possibly the most absurd reason to need leaders to handle directly, but it was the excuse Taryn and Arthur needed.

Tail waving lazily behind her, Taryn's ears perked up as she caught a familiar scent on the wind. Arthur would be there soon.

Not being one for theatrics, Arthur delivered one single stroke of Excalibur (invisible) to the boulder, splitting it in two like butter being cut with a hot knife.

All in all, hitting a rock with a sword that was on his waist all the time but wasn't visible was pretty badass.

"And there is that."

He would show her his sword later. The one on his back. Excalibur was a pretty valuable artifact and one never was too safe from prying eyes.

"Some politicians would be scandalized at our negotiation methods. I'm all for that." He couldn't help but smile widely at her.

"My sister has been King for a while. They were slightly terrified to learn I can keep my ground on a meal with her." That is to say, Arthur would usually hunt his food to add it to the castle's reserves because the two of them ate too much. So he followed, still smiling.

"I enjoyed your cooking the first time. I'm sure you have only improved anyway."

"I am thankful to Luna, then. For meeting my sister, and you." It had been fate, he thought; to meet Arturia where she was on her way to meet Taryn.

Arthur had enhanced senses keen enough to tell about the food, which smelled pretty good. Setting his things aside, he put a knee to the ground and helped.

"Then we will help each other reminds us we are more than rulers, and that there's more beyond that."

I'm thinking "run through woods turns into romantic times" y/n?

Girl, he's the goddamn King. He could sleep in the coal pit if he wanted.

"Routine is a dangerous poison. I wish I could do as you say more often though." Staring at the woods around them, Arthur had an idea. "I'm pretty fast on my feet though, and we are alone...not to mention I could use some stretching after all the horse riding."

"There is only one way to know for sure." He then removed his armor, staying in more comfortable, lighter clothes.

"I'll make sure to take you on further runs in the future. If you would like that."

[H-hey, Taryn o-o

"You cannot say that...and then change like that, Taryn. But is alright. I will make sure that once you are ruler we will enjoy more of this honest runs against each other. Now."

Arthur went to stand next to her. God, he really wanted to at least pet her. Arthur liked woman like any other men, but he could appreciate the beauty of an animal, and he knew Taryn was not an animal, but as far as canines went, he could tell the shape Taryn had adopted was beautiful, strong, and most certainly fast.

"On the count of three.

..

.....

Three."

Arthur ran like the wind. Without armor, he could easily outrun a horse, but the terrain was against him this time, which in turn forced him to regulate his speed quickly enough.

And where was Taryn? That little wolf was surely gaining terrain advantage or something.

Not that they were really competing. Laughing, Arthur sprinted around the trees, looking for her.

Wow, he was outclassed in the woods. Surely not on an open space, but that was little to not comforting at all.

"Wait up!", called Arthur as he accelerated, barely managing to get behind the wolf before finally tripping and rolling a good few meters over the grass.

"Okay, I get it." Admitting defeat, Arthur allowed himself to rise his hands and not only pat the wolf, but carefully feel the fur on her face and neck.

"Really nice fur."
