On the night of the full moon...
Who: Taryn Shadow-Walker and Arthur Pendragon
What: "Border Dispute"
When: 6/5
Where: Northernmost border of Lerrian and Cerirwen
Warnings: none
Taryn waited at the border and leaned against the boulder that just happened to be resting on the border between Britain and the land of Luna's Call. It was possibly the most absurd reason to need leaders to handle directly, but it was the excuse Taryn and Arthur needed.
Tail waving lazily behind her, Taryn's ears perked up as she caught a familiar scent on the wind. Arthur would be there soon.

"Of course, let us get into that right away." The sooner some things were done, the sooner others could start.
no subject
"It's equally on both of our lands, but mostly on the border. I say we split it down the center and each take half."
no subject
"Easily done, and I suppose we can skip the formalities if needed." Which was code for 'I have this pretty badass sword and I can cut it right now', or something.
"Unless you want to arrange something else, of course. The less trouble it causes us, the better."
no subject
"By all means..."
Yes, she did want to see him show off a little.
no subject
All in all, hitting a rock with a sword that was on his waist all the time but wasn't visible was pretty badass.
"And there is that."
no subject
Once cut, Taryn patted the boulder and nodded. "I'm glad we could come to an amiable solution," she said, her shoulders shaking a bit at the simplicity of the 'official' matter.
no subject
"Some politicians would be scandalized at our negotiation methods. I'm all for that." He couldn't help but smile widely at her.
no subject
She gestured for him (and his horse) to follow her deeper into the woods, crossing over into Lerrian. "I have some wild boar smoking in an earthen pit over here. Now that we've taken care of official matters, a meal sounds good." She flicked her tail a bit. "I'm not sure they feed you properly in Camelot."
no subject
"I enjoyed your cooking the first time. I'm sure you have only improved anyway."
no subject
The clearing wasn't far and the scent of cooking meat could be smelled by human senses once through the trees. Taryn set her weapons asides and started digging up the pit.
"I know the burden of ruling is still one you're getting used to. It's one I am, too."
no subject
Arthur had enhanced senses keen enough to tell about the food, which smelled pretty good. Setting his things aside, he put a knee to the ground and helped.
"Then we will help each other reminds us we are more than rulers, and that there's more beyond that."
no subject
"Sometimes it's hard to remember how it feels to run through the forest on four paws." There's the boar and it smells wonderful, making Taryn salivate a little. "And with the upcoming trip to the Imperial City I have planned, I worry I'll forget. Do you something just get on your horse and ride? No destination in mind... Just run."
I'm thinking "run through woods turns into romantic times" y/n?
"Routine is a dangerous poison. I wish I could do as you say more often though." Staring at the woods around them, Arthur had an idea. "I'm pretty fast on my feet though, and we are alone...not to mention I could use some stretching after all the horse riding."
sounds like a plan~
"If you're up for the challenge, I'd like that. One more honest run before I become Ar-Righ."
<3
"I'll make sure to take you on further runs in the future. If you would like that."
no subject
"I do... as long as you find some other way to phrase it. That makes it sound like you're taking your dog out for exercise." Just about anyone else, she would've bristled over that, especially on the full moon, but Arthur was different.
"...shall we?"
And then, before Arthur's eyes, Taryn's form shifted and she shrank from the seven foot tall wolf-woman to a regular looking grey wolf with a bit of silver in her fur.
no subject
"You cannot say that...and then change like that, Taryn. But is alright. I will make sure that once you are ruler we will enjoy more of this honest runs against each other. Now."
Arthur went to stand next to her. God, he really wanted to at least pet her. Arthur liked woman like any other men, but he could appreciate the beauty of an animal, and he knew Taryn was not an animal, but as far as canines went, he could tell the shape Taryn had adopted was beautiful, strong, and most certainly fast.
"On the count of three.
..
.....
Three."
no subject
But that was something for discussion another time for Arthur was being a bit crafty and got a bit of a jump on Taryn. She took off after him with a playful bark, bounding between trees.
no subject
And where was Taryn? That little wolf was surely gaining terrain advantage or something.
Not that they were really competing. Laughing, Arthur sprinted around the trees, looking for her.
no subject
Leaping over a downed tree, Taryn drew abreast Arthur before pinning her ears back and putting on a burst of speed, bounding up the embankment.
no subject
"Wait up!", called Arthur as he accelerated, barely managing to get behind the wolf before finally tripping and rolling a good few meters over the grass.

no subject
"Really nice fur."
no subject
She... she really needed to tell him.
Back off him, Taryn shifted back to her wolf-woman form. "I have something to tell you, Arthur. It's... I'm trusting you with the knowledge... But, I'm not a beastman. Not like I present myself as. I'm Garou. A werewolf."
