Sir Francis Drake (Rider)
24 March 2012 @ 12:23 am
Round 1: Arturia vs Drake
Who: Arturia Pendragon, Francis Drake, and all the spectators
Where: Imperial City's coliseum
What: First rounds of tournament have begun!
When: March 24, morning
Warnings: Violence, possibly

Even the Coliseum was decorated in the flowers and colors all over the Imperial City. More people had shown up than ever to watch both notable and obscure fighters all over the Empire duke it out with one another. It figures that the holders of the Destiny Crystals would have all made it this far into the matches. The pink-haired woman in red, Drake, stands across from the King of Knights holding in her hand a saber.

Although, at this point, she realizes that it's foolish to use such a weapon against her queen whose proficiency with swords was said to be unmatched. Nothing less should be expected from a woman carried the title of King of Knights. Drake just gave a smirk.

"... Can't help but feel this doubles as a performance review. As long as everything right now is even game, though, you can bet that I'll be going all-out, Queen. ... I take it that's fine with you?"

Drake points the saber at Arturia. Her response would be quite clear. At the moment, allegiances and employment mean nothing. It's just a battle among two competitors for the gold. Speaking of, her men and admirers have presented her with a favor or two before the battle had started. What they are, however, are yet to be seen.

Taryn Shadow-Walker
24 March 2012 @ 01:17 pm

Who: Taryn Shadow-Walker, Athrun Zala | Revan, Raisa, Skrimir
Where: Lerrian - Ringfort
What: End of the Siege/Negotiations
When: We'll say... about a week ago.
Warnings: violence
Moon Phase: Waning Crescent

The Zeon commander's request for negotiations couldn't have come at a better time. With Spring Court approaching, Taryn was looking to end the siege at Ringfort soon and without burning the fort to the ground. She'd been under the full moon's sway when she'd written those messages to her allies and let more of her rage out than she generally liked. Whereas this wasn't the absolute best conditions for her to conduct negotiations, it made it very unlikely she would take things as insults. The moon prompted her to seek answers, and so she would seek an answer to this conflict between Luna's Call and Zeon.

With the lion prince in her care, Taryn would use this as a teaching tool. She was far more reasonable than the laguz and his first lesson would be in understanding compromise and how to handle humans, especially honorable humans. So the Rhya sent Skrimir to join Revan and Raisa - those that had been conducting the siege - while she handled the Zeon commander.

Stepping out into the middle of the clearing before Ringfort's gates, the seven foot tall grey werewolf with the large two-handed sword and two-handed crystalline hammer across her back called out to the ramparts in a clear, commanding voice.

"Colonel Athrun Zala, I am Taryn Shadow-Walker, Rhya of Luna's Call. You have requested words, so we will have words. Come and speak now."

Men's Bracket: Rider vs Skrimir
Who: Skrimir and Luca Blight/Rider
Where: Imperial City
What: Spring Court tournament, round one
When: Whenever the tournaments start
Warnings: Violence

It did not matter that he stood in a human area, deep in a human city. It did not matter that Skrimir stood out so much that the blind could spot him. The only thing that mattered was the pure thrill, that beloved anticipation of battle. The young lion itched for blood. He would have restraint, of course; there was no need to kill his opponent when both the rules and the Rhya forbade it.

It was time to crush bone and rend metal and flesh, and show this human city that Skrimir was a proud laguz. Passing up this opportunity to test himself against the best warriors the beorc could offer simply wasn't possible. Drawn arrogantly to his full height, Skrimir easily shouted over the noise of the crowd to the other side of the arena.

"I've waited long enough! Do not make wait any longer! Come, warrior, and fight me! I look forward to crushing you under my claws!"

And to punctuate his challenge, Skrimir roared; a thunderous, piercing sound, even outside of his transformed state.
