Signum can only stare back for a moment, meeting Garviel's gaze with a shocked expression, even as small explosions of heating gases spray rock and fire into the chamber. Using a destiny-altering relic in the middle of this much natural energy was probably a mistake, but the feeling of the chamber gradually heating up is a distraction from the sheer contradiction in front of her.
